Pre-Press Services

On print jobs submitted to Ka-Blam that are in compliance with our posted printing specifications there is NO ($0) setup fee nor pre-press charges.

You pay ONLY the printing and shipping/handling.

However ... for jobs submitted that are NOT in compliance with our specifications pre-press charges may apply.

Here's how it works ... if you place an order with us and submit files that do not conform to our printing specifications we'll send you an email detailing how and where the files are not in compliance with our needs. We'll also tell how you much it will cost for us to correct and prep the files for print. At that point you may either fix the files and resend them or authorize us to do it for you at the specified rate.

For pre-press services we charge $100 per hour, billable in 1/2 hour increments.

Why so much?

Simple. We don't want to do pre-press work. We would MUCH rather be printing. But in order to print your job properly we need your files to conform to our specifications.

Your job will require pre-press if --

  • your pages are improperly sized
  • your files do not allow for sufficient bleed/trim space
  • your files are at the wrong resolution
  • your files are in the wrong file format, wrong color mode, or are saved without compression
