Ahhhhh….Spring is here and with it a convention somewhere EVERY weekend!

I just got back from a wonderful trip to Anaheim and WonderCon. I met a lot of you there and not a chance to introduce us and our services to a lot of creator/publishers. I love attending conventions. Conventions are invigorating. They make you want to go home and create! They give you that drive to finally finish up that next issue you’ve been working on for a mighty long time. It’s heartening to see the passion to create comics in so many people.

Press Release –
Free Comic Book Day at West Palm Beach comic book superstore Past Present Future Comics and Games was so successful – they are doing it again with an event they are calling Free Comic Book Day 2.0 as part of their 4th of July Weekend celebration. On July 3rd and 4th every person will receive FIVE FREE preselected comic books just for coming in. As with Free Comic Book Day earlier this year the entire store will be 20% off – including all back issues, CGC graded comics, trades, art books, Manga, action figures, vintage toys, board games, trading cards, role-playing games, t-shirt and much much more.

Beyond the free comics and storewide sale on Saturday July 3rd, Past Present Future will be hosting several industry professionals including Marvel and DC cover artist Greg Horn. Joining Greg will be local publisher and writer Martin T. Pierro (Cosmic Times) along with golden age legend Allen Bellman. Also in attendance will be Damion Hendricks (Breaking into Comics the Marvel Way) and Aris Iliopoulis. There will also be a Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game tournament and photo ops with members of the famed 501st Legion.

Saturday will also feature the Revenge of the Nerd Comedy Show hosted by Lisa Corran starting at 4:00. On Sunday the 4th Florida SuperCon will be hosting a costume contest for all ages at 1:00, prizes will be awarded.

Past Present Future (or PPF) has been a comic book “destination” store in Palm Beach County, Florida since 1982 and for the last 19 years has been owned and operated by local businessman Mark Gallo (who used to work in the shop for the previous owner). Past Present Future sells hundreds of new comics and trade paperbacks and has thousands of rare and valuable back issues dating from 1933 to 2010. PPF is located at 1387 N. Military Trail (where Cherry Road intersects, just south of Okeechobee and north of Belvedere) in West Palm Beach, they are open 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Come join in the fun and excitement of Past present Future’s Independence Day Free Comic Book Day 2.0 event.

Pages vs. Sheets

One of the most common mistakes we see on orders is with regard to page count. There is a tendency to confuse sheets with pages. Don’t make that mistake. Sheets and pages are NOT synonymous

Please Do Not Use Yousendit for Sending Files to Us

We’ve mentioned this a few times in the past but just as a reminder, everyone, please do NOT use yousendit.com for sending files to us. The downloads are too slow, the download limits are too small, and the links expire too fast.
