  1. Hey, I thought Ka-Blam and Indy Planet didn’t accept books with copyrighted characters in it? I tried getting my Ghostbuster fan comics (original characters, so no Ray or Egon, etc) printed and was told an understandable no-can-do. Sad. Anyway, looks awesome! Wish I had the money to buy one! ;-)

There’s a HUGE difference between a fan comic — which in most cases is a violation of trademark and/or copyright — and a parody which is constitutionally protected in the U.S. and is considered legally to be a “fair use” of copyright and trademark. A Ghostbuster’s fan comic as you describe it is a violation trademark law. Breakfast of the Gods is clearly a parody (and an absolutely terrific one at that!) and is a fair use of those trademarks.
