Any time there’s a big convention rapidly approaching — and especially whenever there are two big conventions scheduled almost on top of each other — it’s understandable that creator/publishers with orders in queue get a bit antsy. Completely understandable. So we thought it prudent to give you a bit of a Ka-Blam status update …
On comics, posters, flyers, artboards, etc. we are on schedule and barring the unforeseen might actually be a day or two ahead of schedule by week’s end.
On paperbacks and hardcovers we are actually a couple of days ahead of schedule on printing, but there’s a bit of a bottleneck at the binding stage right now. We’re about a day and a half behind schedule on binding, but are off to a really good start today hopefully will be caught up by the close of business today.
T-shirts are on schedule.
IndyPlanet orders are running a couple of days behind schedule but we are rapidly getting caught up there as well … with dozens of orders going out every day.
So if you have an order in queue for one of these upcoming shows and it’s marked as “paid” and “ready to print”, then please check your ship-by date and be certain that you have chosen a date that allow your order to get to you in time for your event. Please, please, please keep in mind that the date you chose does NOT include transit time. So, for example, if you need your order in hand by October 7 then your shipping date should ideally be no later than October 4 to avoid expedited shipping costs.
If you have an order in queue for one of these shows and you have NOT yet received an invoice then please contact us in the Message Center as soon as possible and let us know.
If you have an order in queue for one of these shows and you have received your invoice but have not yet paid that invoice then please do so ASAP in order to insure that you get your books in time.
If you have an order in queue and you have received AND paid your invoice but your order is NOT marked as “paid”, then please contact us in the Message Center immediately because that means we have somehow managed to overlook your payment (sorry, but that happens sometimes). If that’s the case we will do whatever is necessary — even if we have to expedite your order at our expense — to get your order to you in time for your event.
