Check your SPAM box and Whitelist Us!

When you place orders at Ka-Blam or interact with us via our Message Center please be aware that many of our responses to you will be auto-generated — this includes your order invoices!   Some email programs — looking at you Gmail — aren’t fond of auto-generated emails and tend to tag them as SPAM.   So please check your SPAM box for emails from any “@ka-blam.com” email address.  If you find one there please whitelist us — or tag the email as “not SPAM”. Otherwise our attempts to contact you will continue to go right into your SPAM box. Check Your File Sizes

First off, everything I’m telling you can be easily found by reading through our FAQ’s and Technical Specs pages. You ready? Let’s go! FILE SIZES! 1. Standard Comic: 7 x 10.5 inches. Let’s say your comic page/file is only 6×9, we still need the file you send us to be  7 x 10.5 inches, unless you’re doing a custom sized book.  All you need to do is to place your file on a 7 x 10.5 canvas and fill the rest with white, a color of your choice, or whatever you like; just as long as the final file size you send us is 7 x 10.5 inches. 2. Manga Comic: 5.5 x 7.75 inches. The same rule applies here as above. If your comic page is smaller than 5.5 x 7.75 inches, we still need the final file that you send us to be 5.5 x 7.75 inches. 3. PROOF READ! EDIT! PROOF READ! EDIT!

Hey guys. It’s been a while since I did one of these but my hand has been forced.  We run across this all the time and normally it’s just part of this business, but recently, there seems to be a huge increase in folks not proof reading or editing their comics before they submit them to us. I don’t know if some super, secret, chemical company or some spiteful aliens from another world have been messing with our drinking water but, it’s gotten a bit crazy around here with page substitutions. There is a page substitution fee for all these changes we have to make but, we don’t want you putting the kids through college with them either! I’ve said this elsewhere but it deserves repeating. Get as many people as you can to proof read your comic before you gift-wrap it. Get your mom, your best friend, your dog, your senile aunt…anybody! Ka-Blam Tip o’ the Day — Dings and Damages

We try to pack your order as tightly and as a safely was we can so as to insure that your comics or books arrive in crisp, sale-able condition, but from time to time a box will arrive with a crushed corner and dinged or damaged books inside. We’re sorry, but it happens. The good news is that every order we send out is insured and we’ll replace any damaged product you receive. If you should receive an order with damages inside here’s what you need to do — 1) Document the damages. Take clear photos of the damaged product AND the box or envelope they arrived in. 2) Hold onto the damaged product. Don’t throw it away, don’t give it away, don’t sell it. Selling it constitutes “acceptance AS IS” and will void your claim. 3) Don’t discard the damaged packaging … yet. 4) Contact us in the message center and provide us with links to the photos you took documenting the damages. 5) We’ll contact you once...
